Project #3 Outdoor area

We moved camp spots when we got the new camper. So not only do we have inside to fix up but outside too. And I've started....
My "garden bed". Really, I'm not sure what to call it but I've basically taken most my outdoor things and the twin iron bed frame that ended up not fitting in the little back room in the camper that we're creating for Eli, and making a "nifty" little area for plants, hummingbirds, other birds and such. And trust me, the hummingbirds and all birds love it. My neighbor lady loves it too. Her name's LaJean and she has the same kind of taste I do! She's a fab lady! She came over to thank me for making this little "garden bed" because she said she can enjoy looking at all the birds from her big window which she sits at when she sews. Plus, she loves the "look". Honestly, when I was putting it all together, I looked over and saw her big window and thought...I'll position this just right and I'll do this for both of us! Cause I could tell by some of her outdoor stuff that she was a kindred spririt! Looks like my intuition was right! She might even like having tea outside one day! :) I still have more outdoor to do...so I'll be posting more pics to this post later....

Project #2 Kitchen Counter and Sink

Ok, so the kitchen counter area was in much need of TLC....you'll see what I mean in the following pics....
Here's the kitchen counter area as is when we bought it! I know...you're in love!!!
Cleaned up. Plywood removed. We figured we'd just use the resources we had since we're poor and so we decided to use sink that came with the camper...Matt will do some fixing up on it with his handy plumbing tools he always has around...and I've decided to just use the plywood to make the counter top. Will sand it real good and paint it with some oil based paint in whatever color I find in the reject pile at walmart. I've decided to decorate the camper "no fuss" style. With whatever I have or whatever is cheap and pray it all comes together nicely ~ lol. Most of all, I want to just use things I really like.
Sanding. Matt, Micheal, and I all sanded.
I painted it RED!!! I know...pretty crazy. I'm not even a big fan of red. But I'm thinkin' it'll be pleasantly different. If I just hate it, I can always repaint!
Counter top done. Now Matt will install sink and faucet.
Also, Matt painted the edges of the upper cabinets this vintage green color I found in the reject paint.
Even Eli has his part in all this! Lol. Still more to do...like paint bottom cabinets and redo walls behind sink and such. So I'll be adding more to this post later......

Project #1 The Ceiling

Well, here's a few pics of our first projects. Not quite finished with them but here's the starts.....we'll start with the ceiling.....
This is the front of the camper as is when we bought it! Oh so nice!!!
Cleaned out and ready for ceiling redo. We discovered a leak and didn't like the looks of the front anyways so we're doin' a whole redo.
Matt...ripping the ceiling out!
We found this homemade "plug" where the leak was! Wow!!! .........................................Truck loaded down with yuck old ceiling and ready to haul off!
Progress being made. I'll add more to this post later. So stay tuned.....

Our new glamper!!!

I have to say I'm so excited!!! Thanks to my mom & dad, we were able to get this vintage glamper! There's a lot more room in it compared to the motor home (which we sold & used the money to buy this one). So...here she is! She doesn't have a name yet ~ but I'm sure she will before long! She needs some TLC, but she's still a beauty! I'll be posting pics of "fix ups" as I go along! I'm really excited bout fixing her up & glamping in her! Woohooo!!!
Here's us driving her through the hill country to her new home! When we left out of the parking lot of the place we bought it from, the guy says, "ya'll remind me of the couple on the Long Long Trailer"! Ha ~ I'm guessing it's because my husband's fairly dark skinned and my hair is red right now and this is a pretty long trailer!!! Not as long as their's was ~ but still!

Leaping Lizards!!!

I learned one thing today. That I am a coffee addict! I ran out of coffee and had to go w/out and had a splitting headache all day. Ugh! But...still, headache or no headache...wanted to post on my blog! =) There's a couple who lives in the RV across from us ~ James & Brenda ~ really swell people. They love Eli. They just got back from a little trip and they came over bearing a gift for Eli. She gives him popcicles n such from time to time, but this time, she gave him a lizard! He loves it! Just another bonus of glampin' in a sweet rv park.....good friends!

The G's of life....................... Garage selling, Good frinz, and of course Glamping!

I haven't been on the computer in a while! Had a very busy w/end and the past several days have been busy too. I did a little garage selling again this past w/end. We did some rearranging to our glamp spot. Winter texans are starting to move into their rv spots so we're getting new neighbors. I had a long, wonderful lunch with an old friend yesterday! Anyways...here's some pics of some things.....
Saturday morn and it's off with Matt n Eli to pick up Meg and head for the garage sales! First find of the day was this old cigar box with lots of neat old matches in it! Loved this find. All for three bucks!
The striped table cloth under the cigar box was another find for two dollars! Two shabby chic coasters for fifty cents...
All kinds of neat fabric swatches for cheap!
My favorite fabric! Three dollars! And quite a bit there ta boot!
Groovy foot stool ~ three bucks! Seemed like three dollars was the goin' price that day!
Necklace! Copper colored ~ moons ~ purple jewels ~ fifty cents!
Necklace! Vintage ~ one dollar at an estate sale. Matt also got an old gas can for a dollar fifty at the same estate sale to ride on the future roof rack of my VW Bug! Yay!!! Can't find those old gas cans cheap anywhere ~ BUT WE DID!
vintage christmas lights bought at the same estate sale ~ one dollar
Now on to some pics of some things I've done 'round the glamp spot!
Moved our gazebo over and sort of "connected" it with our awning. Using mix n match shower curtains to create curtains that enclose for privacy. We hang out and watch tv in here and can spread out cots and sleep in here! And we can just have it totally open or zipped with screens.
Walkway under awning to gazebo ~
Another view of that walkway ~
Lined my old patio chairs up along the front =) .........Well, that's it for this post. Not posting pics of lunch with a good friend! SOME things are private ya know! LOL

Labor Day W/end Fun

Well...Eli and his daddy created their own kind of fun. The pix speak for themselves...
And I found another great find at a garage sale...BIG bowl for twenty five cents ~ YAY!!!
And my cousin Billy and his girl Priscilla came for a visit. We grilled steaks, played pool and ping pong at the game room here at the RV park and joined other campers in a few games of Bingo. I won the very first game! Lol...and none after that =)
Yeah, I like that this RV park has lots of activities! Also, I like that we pay $150/mo for it ALL. That includes our spot we camp in, electric, water, internet, etc. Can't be beat! =) And today is my sister Janna's birthday! I've thought bout her a lot today. Happy Birthday Janna ~ I Love You!
